Lake Elmo resident finishes Minnesota Excellence In Public Service series

ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Excellence in Public Service Series, a national leadership program that trains women for public service and leadership roles in their careers, communities and government, recently announced that Kathy Lohmer, of Lake Elmo, has finished the nine-month program.

A formal graduation ceremony will take place in September.

Campaign Kickoff

April 22, 2010-Residents of 56A are enjoying the opportunity to share their concerns and suggestions with Kathy Lohmer, as she begins visiting the 13,000+ homes in the district.  With her campaign message of, “It is We the people, not We the government,” Kathy is running for the State House of Representatives in Nov.
District 56A is composed of portions of Stillwater and Woodbury along with Bayport, Baytown Township, Lake Elmo, Lakeland, Lakeland Shores, Lake St. Croix Beach, Oak Park Heights, and West Lakeland Township.

Local Legislative Candidate to be Recognized at “Rising Stars” Event
Saint Paul, Minnesota, January 28th, 2010-State House candidate Kathy Lohmer is selected to participate in the “Rising Stars” event for highly regarded candidates in 2010 state elections. Kathy Lohmer is a Republican candidate for State House in SD56A, which includes Woodbury, Lake Elmo,Oak Park Heights, Bayport, Baytown. West Lakeland Twp, Lakeland, Lakeland Shores, Lake St. Croix Beach,  and Stillwater.  Kathy Lohmer is a Lake Elmo resident.

The "Rising Stars" program helps promote top tier candidates to a broader audience.  The event is designed to give candidates and their campaigns special recognition with political reporters, political staffers, donors, and other political insiders. Only 15 candidates for State House or Senate are selected to be part of the program.

 “I am honored that fellow political and community leaders regard me as a strong candidate for the State House.  I have a hard working campaign team, and many active volunteers, ready to get the vote out in November of 2010,” said candidate Kathy Lohmer. "My supporters know that citizens in Minnesota are clearly looking for smart and accountable government that lives within its means.  They know I’ll get the job done.” 

The "Rising Stars" event will be on Thursday, January 28, 4:30-7:30 p.m. at O'Gara's Bar and Grill, 164 Snelling Avenue N., St. Paul.  House Republican Leader Rep. Kurt Zellers (R-Maple Grove) will be in attendance.
